  • Thorax SSM in industry & craft

PROTECTION OF THE SPINE & RELIEF OF THE INTERVERTEBRAL DISCS

The Thorax SSM supports the spine when lifting loads or holding production goods, especially when lifting heavy equipment and goods. By optimizing the load-bearing capacity by up to 40 %, your employee is more efficient and has greater stamina during physically demanding work. At the same time, its natural memory helps to bring the body into an upright position and relieves pressure on the spine. Thanks to the continuous freedom of movement, the Thorax SSM can be worn during the entire activity. Due to the light weight of the flexible carbon construction, the Thorax SSM weighs from 690 grams, depending on the size.

The Thorax SSM is already being used in various occupational fields such as assembly, e.g. car and bicycle production, plant construction, manufacturing and trade, and supports and protects your employees in their daily work. The Thorax SSM demonstrates its preventive back protection in the production of large industrial systems as well as in precision work. It always keeps the body in an ergonomic position and also relieves pressure on the spine.

The carbon orthosis can be worn comfortably under work clothing and is invisible and protected from dust and stains.

DYNAMIC ACTIVE STABILIZATION

The design and construction of the Thorax SSM system actively stabilizes the entire torso dynamically. By actively guiding the spine in the system, rotational movements of the trunk are dynamically controlled and the spine is protected from rotational damage. The muscles are stimulated to work actively, which results in a significantly higher utilization of the trunk muscles. The affected joints are particularly protected by the active system of the Thorax SSM.

The shoulder girdle, spine, pelvis and hips experience anatomical loading, which leads to better force distribution and therefore a gentler posture.
